Approved Broker Portal is OPEN

We would like to take this opportunity to make an important announcement regarding our services. As you know, we have always strived to provide the best possible support to all of our traders, and in order to continue doing so, we will be making important changes to the brokers we support and allow trading directly from the SmartTrader software.  These changes are essential to ensure we provide the highest quality of customer support.

What do YOU need to know?

As the network continues to grow at a fast pace, it is essential for Market Traders Institute and its partners to provide the greatest trading  stability, as well as trading and technical support. 

To make this possible long term, the Smart Market Academy and Smart Market Academy Pro tool functionality, including PIP Grabber and PIP Grabber Pro, will only be available to trade through  our approved brokers and with accounts established  through the approvedBroker Portal.  This will allow MTI and SmartTrader to provide far superior trading support into the future.

Traders already using an Approved Broker must follow these instructions to ensure your account is registered to MTI so that you can receive support and functionality.

When and What is Happening?

SmartTrader (PIP Grabber)

Phase 1: May 16, 2023

Note: Changes to the connected broker sections in SmartTrader. These changes are the following:
  1. The list of broker choices for a new trading connection will be adjusted to only reflect the approved brokers. 

  2. If you currently have an account connected at a non approved broker, your connection will be maintained. However, you will not be able to connect a new account, and if you disconnect your account, you will be unable to reestablish the trading functionality at the unapproved broker.   3. You will only see the approved brokers servers in the broker connection portal.

  4. We highly recommend during this phase that you establish a new trading account at one of the approved brokers and email your new broker once open to ensure your account is properly tagged at the approved broker.

Phase 2: June 9th, 2023

Note: In this phase, trading functionality will be modified for anyone still connected to an unapproved broker.  The changes are the following:

  1. You will not be able to place any new orders on the platform unless your account is connected with our list of approved brokers.

  2. If you have existing trades connected through Smart Trader, all Existing orders will NOT be affected, however the functionality will be
    adjusted to “close only”.Once those orders are closed you will NOT be able to place neworders/trades unless you are connected to our
    recommended broker.

  3. It’s imperative that you have a new account at the approved broker in this phase so all new trading ideas received can be executed at the approved broker).  Use the “Get an  Approved Broker” link on this page and then email your broker to ensure your account is properly mapped at the approved broker.

(PIP Grabber Pro)

Phase 1: May 16, 2023

Note: Changes to the select your broker server . These changes are the following:

  1. All newly established PGP accounts will only be available though the approved brokers.

  2. If you have an existing account at an unapproved broker, your connection will continue for the time being and we highly recommend that you use this time to establish a new account at one of the approved brokers right away. Use the “Get an  Approved Broker” link on this page and then email your broker to ensure your account is properly mapped at the approved broker.

Phase 2: July 1, 2023

Signals for accounts not established through the approved broker Portal will no longer be delivered. Users must have an Eligible account to approve new signals and for signals to close their current trades. 

Is imperative that if you choose not to move your existing account to one of the approved brokers and you have open positions at that time, that you understand that you will not receive any signals to close your existing positions. 

NOTE: Existing accounts will NOT be removed from the platform. Active trades and Pending Orders will NOT be affected. No new open or closed signals will be sent for new or existing trades.
